Wheat Slipping Lower on Wednesday

The wheat complex is mostly lower across most contracts on Wednesday. CBT soft red wheat futures are down 2 to 5 cents at midday. The CBOT showed 34 deliveries issued for September wheat overnight.  KC HRW futures are up 3 ¼ cents in Sep to 1 ¼ cents lower in December. There were another 18 deliveries issued against September KC wheat. MPLS spring wheat is ¾ cent higher in the nearby September and down 3 ¼ cents in December.  

The weekly Crop Progress report indicated 72% of the spring wheat crop was harvested by Sunday, 1 percentage point above normal. Winter wheat harvest was removed this week, with the crop’s planting progress for the 2026 crop expected next week. 

The next week showed 1 to 2 inches across much of the Southern Plains over the next week according to the NOAA 7-day forecast.

Sep 25 CBOT Wheat  is at $5.11, down 2 cents,

Dec 25 CBOT Wheat  is at $5.23 1/2, down 4 3/4 cents,

Sep 25 KCBT Wheat  is at $4.86 1/2, up 3 1/4 cents,

Dec 25 KCBT Wheat  is at $5.10, down 1 1/4 cents,

Sep 25 MGEX Wheat  is at $5.55, up 3/4 cent,

Dec 25 MGEX Wheat  is at $5.71, down 3 1/4 cents,
